In 2009/10 I wrote a weekly column as Reno Adventure Sport Examiner for Examiner.com, publishing 32 short form (600+ word) posts over an 8 month period. This was my first job writing on a deadline.
My next writing job was as a photojournalist for backroadbars.net, authoring and publishing twenty six (26) long form articles on the history and mystery of the back road bar. Unfortunately the owner closed up shop and the site is no longer online.
Copy-writing for SEO has been honed on client websites over the past ten years. I stay current with SEO (Google) algorithms, applying and testing on my business websites before applying to client sites.
Today, I continue writing web, advertising and commercial content with a focus on editorial and photojournalism.
Editorial photography - includes creating images for print and online publication in support of a narrative, with a focus on mood and tone for the piece. Editorial photography is rooted in journalism and fashion.
Photojournalism - similar to editorial only different in content. Predominantly news and travel.
Content writing for SEO - Writing for SEO follows specific algorithms to increase web, blog, and landing page search and page rank.
Ad copy - Sales and advertising campaigns.
